M.Sc. Chemistry
Courses Available
Post graduate courses are offered in two areas of Chemistry:
Organic Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry
What is Organic Chemistry?
Organic Chemistry is the branch of Chemistry which deals with the study of organic compounds i.e. compounds having carbon skeleton. Organic Chemistry is known as the “Chemistry of Life” because all of the molecules that make up living tissue have carbon as part of their makeup.
What is Analytical Chemistry?
Analytical Chemistry is the branch of Chemistry which deals with the separation, identification, and quantification of the chemical components of natural and artificial materials.
Analytical chemists may be involved in work as diverse as:
- Drug formulation and development
- Chemical or forensic analysis
- Process development
- Product validation
- Quality control
- Toxicology
